Supervision

For Florida interns pursuing licensure in mental health counseling or marriage and family therapy, there are many supervisors to choose from. You may have the option to work with someone on-site at your place of employment, one may be assigned to you per another contract, or you’ve utilized the internet and/or social media groups to locate the perfect fit.

Work with Christine

I was fortunate in how I came across my supervisors and mentors in the field. I valued their knowledge of and wisdom in the profession, the expertise in their specialty, and their ability to maintain thriving careers whether that is in private practice or within a clinical-corporate setting. Your supervisor is one of the pivotal roles you will have in this field and it is important that they understand you, challenge you, validate you, and guide you in the most ethical practices in this profession. As your supervisor with 14 years of working in a variety of clinical settings, from research sites to being a clinical director, I focus on your areas of growth, your ambitions in the field, and to help expand your knowledge of practice whether that is working with individuals who have experienced trauma or parents who are concerned about their child’s disruptive behavior in school.

I am trained in a variety of evidenced based trauma models (EMDR, ART, EFT, and CPT) and can ethically guide you through treating these specific populations from a trauma informed approach while strengthening your therapeutic approach with treating individuals who suffer from post-traumatic stress, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, personality disorders or if they are suffering by a loved one with a personality disorder.

If you are focusing on specialties such as anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, or personality disorders (including within the family dynamic), please reach out for a free twenty-minute consultation call to see if supervision with Orchid House Counseling, LLC is right for you. Due to the current rules and regulations of quality supervision, at least half of your hours must be done in-person (50/100) and therefore I am only able to contract with a supervisee that is in the Central Florida area. The remaining 50 hours can be done remotely at your discretion.
